June is Busting Out All Over!

After a long six months of family medical issues, I am proud to be coming back into the groove of my favorite thing to do!  Papercrafting!!!  I have been steady at it, but haven't had the time to post anything on my blog.

Well, guess what June 1st means?  The New STAMPIN' UP! CATALOG is LIVE!  WooHoo!  Many of you are on my mailing list, so you should have received yours by now.  What a great catalog, isn't it?  If you would still like one, let me know!  I will gladly get one to you!  You can go to the Let's Shop tab if you have your catalog already - shop til you drop!  Ha!

My catalog launch party is June 10 here at the Shedoudy residence.  If you are a local San Diegan and wish to come, let me know and I will include you in the invite!  I placed my big order on June 1st so hopefully I will receive my "stash" in time to make some pretty awesome items to show off some of the new bundles, papers, inks and embellishments!

In May, we had our Craft Day on the 20th.  We made 5 different cards using the Share What You Love Designer Paper (page 177 in new catalog).  I used examples from someone on the Demonstrator Planning Site and I apologize, I forgot to get her name.  Here were the samples I made from her examples.  Whoever you are, THANK YOU for the great inspiration! Her work was much more detailed - she embossed many things.  I kept it pretty simple for my class.

Here are pictures of my gals hard at work.  I love these "candid" photos...they sometime look so serious, but really we had a lot of fun!  Note the wine???  Ha!

I showed them all about the new ink pads and the ease of opening..they all loved it.  I only had the in-colors at the time, so we had to use some of the old ink pads so still had the frustrations.  I am glad they are so much easier to open and close, but will have to wait to get all new ones.

So, I will let you all go now and Order, Order, Order from our fabby new catalog.  Have fun!  When you do place your order, remember to use this months Hostess code if your order is under $150.00.  If it is over that amount, you will earn stampin' rewards, so take advantage of those!

Until next time, be kind to one another and try and always make time for "CREATING WITH PAPER"!

New Catalog Info and updates on Inks!

Greetings All!

I am not going to apologize this time for not being more on top of things.  We have had a medical issue here at home, and my family comes first.  That being said, I did want to share some very exciting things coming up!

What does this time of year conjure up in your mind?  Spring flowers?  April rains to bring those May flowers?  Summer coming very soon?  Well, my peeps, at Stampin' Up!, this time of year means the NEW ANNUAL CATALOG is coming!  Yippee!  As a demonstrator, I have had a chance to look at the catalog online.  I wasn't able to attend an On Stage last weekend, so had to wait until Monday!  BUT!  It is an awesome catalog!

One thing worth mentioning is the Stampin' Up! Colors REVAMP.
Color-revamp_demo_header_usca 2018

Yes, there are 13 colors going away (Always Artichoke, Chocolate Chip, Elegant Eggplant, Island Indigo, Marina Mist, Perfect Plum, Pink Pirouette, Rose Red, Soft Sky, Tangerine Tango, Tempting Turquoise, Wild Wasabi and Wisteria Wonder - whew!).  The In Color 2016-2018 group (Dapper Denim, Emerald Envy, Flirty Flamingo, Peekaboo Peach, Sweet Sugar Plum) are retiring - In Colors are only around for 2 years then..gone.  Flirty Flamingo though has managed to flirt its way back in to the Core Color Collection...sneaky little Flamingo!  Ha!  Here are the latest In Colors - aren't they awesome?

There's more!  Some older colors that were previously retired are....wait for it.....coming back!  This includes Mossy Meadow, Poppy Parade, that little Flirty Flamingo, Coastal Cabana, Mint Macaron (I can hear cheers from the crowds) and Blackberry Bliss.  These 5 colors will be integrated into the Core Color Collection.  So if your favorite In Color has gone bye bye, don't fret because sometimes they come back!
The Brights, Regal, Subtles, and Neutral collections have been revamped too!  They now incorporate the 10 new colors.  What can I say, except they are GORGEOUS!!!
The Brights, Regal, Subtles, and Neutral collections have been revamped too!  You should notice that White, Vanilla and Black are no longer in the Neutral list.  They are now just considered Basic colors.
Color-collections 2018

And those 10 completely new colors are...

Lovin' me some new purples!  Yippee!

In addition to new colors, Stampin' Up! also redesigned the ink pads. The case is a new, more intuitive design and the formula of the ink has also been improved! The cases are sleeker, more modern looking and from the videos I have watched - much easier to open and close. *A note to all of these changes!  Your Basic Black Archival and Basic Gray Archival inks are gone.  They just weren't doing the best job and Stampin' Up! decided to stop trying to improve them.  So, they are bringing back Staz-On black ink and of course the Memento Black Ink is available.  They still have a Basic Grey in the Neutrals category,

Just a reminder...the current Annual Catalog and the Occasions Catalog still have some great things in them until May 31st.  There are "retired" lists (these include both catalogs).

Well, that is it for today...I hope you all are as excited as I am for some change in colors.  Also, anticipation for ordering from the new Catalog.  If you have ordered from me in the last year, you are on my Mailing list.  If you would like to officially join my team, you can pre-order from the catalog starting May 1st.  The general public will be able to order from it on June 1st.  So that is a HUGE advantage.  There are many more for becoming a demonstrator!  First look (or sneak peeks) at many new things, discounts on your orders, new friendships in a family business and more!  I would love to be your team leader, and have you as a member of Creating With Paper.  Click on my blog page to shop, or join me and start to enjoy the Stampin' Up! craze!

Be kind to one another, have a wonderful weekend and as always, remember to make time for Creating With Color!

March showers bring more time to Craft

Hey Hey Everyone!

I can not believe that March has come and is already half over!

In February, we had a full month at the Shedoudy household..my girlfriend from North Carolina visiting, went to see Dirty Dancing - part of our San Diego Broadway series, Grandchildren visiting at the beginning of the month (well, late January) and of course business stuff like taxes (yuk).  Valentines Day was wonderful...we stayed home and fixed a delicious dinner and hubby gave me a beautiful flower arrangement and not one, but two cards!  He must love me, right?  (big smiles).

But here it is the "Lucky Month" and I am feeling very lucky!  I haven't been working on many St. Patrick's Day projects but mostly Easter!  Easter will be here in 2 weeks - WHAT?  Anyway, I held my monthly Crafting Gals Get Together on Sunday the 11th, and we made two adorable products!  My inspiration for the pizza box bunny scene was Monica Gale in the UK and our mini egg carton project from Amanda Bates from The Craft Spa.  Thank you to both of these wonderfully creative women.  Here are the samples I worked up for the girls to use as guides.
Easter bummies
Now here are some samples the Gals made...cute!
Irenes and some group shots and my dear friend Chela and her projects.  She looks very proud of them!
  Group1 Group2 Chela
I love getting together with these friends!  It means so much to me to have them in my life.

Well, I delayed sending this until I returned from a few days in the desert with old friends.  We have been going out to Borrego Springs for Spring Fling for 30+ years now.  It is never a dull moment and we certainly have the best home cooked food on the planet!  But now back to reality and hoping I can get back to work soon.

So, until next time, be kind to one another and always make some time for Creating With Paper!

Happy New Year

Greetings to All!

First of all, I want to thank my loyal followers for not giving up on me.  Between traveling, Holidays, and day to day living, my hubby and I have been down for the count a couple of times with this flu that is going around.  We are very thankful that we didn't get the worst strain, but whatever one we got has been hard enough on us.  We are on the mend and hopefully this will be the end of the illness for our household here in San Diego.

Next, I need to catch you all up on what is happening with Stampin' Up!  The New Year 2018 brings the new Occasions Catalog (wowzer) and of course Sale-A-Bration catalog!  For every $50 you spend in the Occasions or Annual Catalog, you qualify for a "free" item from the Sale-A-Bration catalog.  Bargain?  You bet!  I hope that my followers who order from me all got their catalogs, but if you haven't yet, please let me know and I will definitely get you the pair.  I am hoping that they come up with a Part 2 of the Sale-A-Bration booklet, because I have already received every single item in the first go around!  Talk about obsessed!  Yikes!

Often we get so excited about the Occasions Catalog, we tend to forget about the great items that are in the Annual Catalog.  Don't do that!  The annual catalog has absolutely a TON of fabulous items in it and it is good through May 31, 2018.  There is still lots of time to take advantage of the great bargains AND remember, for every $50, you get a free item - this is good through March 31st!  I just went through the Annual catalog, and even though I have many things marked as "received", I found some really cute things that I missed on my previous looksies!  So take time to peruse it too!

Now, for the things I have gotten done...I did manage to have a "Crafting Gals" Christmas gathering (took lots of drugs to mask my cold).  We did our annual Cookie Exchange after a Potluck lunch AND even had time to make some cards!  I wanted to keep it simple, so I pulled out a kit from the 2016 holiday catalog (or it might have been a Paper Pumpkin) that I had stocked up on.  The Shaker cards were a hit! Here is a picture of all of us.
December 10th cookie exchange and card making
We had an absolute blast (and ate a ton of cookies - after lunch of course!)

In January, I managed to make it through (until the very end) another "Crafting Gals" get together.  I used it to show off some of the items from the new Occasions catalog and Sale-A-Bration.  We did a calendar for 2018, and a Valentine Card.  Here are some wonderful cards and calendars the gals made..
first some of the calendars, then the group shot with the Valentines cards.

I ordered my 2018 calendars from Taylored Expressions but only ordered 10 this year.  Last year I ordered so many and only used just a few.  So, when I went to make samples this year, knowing I was having at least 9 ladies, I had to use my 2017 ones up.  It worked out though.

Well, since I haven't posted in so long, I had better break up the long (very long) post I had planned and get this one out to you all.  Again, major apologies and since I am feeling much better, I can post more often, and I will!

Take care everyone, and remember to make time to Create With Paper!!!

Happy New Year my loyal followers! I am sooo sorry, but New Years Day, I was blessed with the second round of a nasty cold! I guess I just celebrated the Holidays too much! Sad... Anyway, I hope to be up and around again soon so please don't give up on me.

The new Occasions Catalog and Sale-A-Bration is here! Click on the two icons on my web site to see what interests you. Let me know if I can help you at all, because I will be checking my email from bed. Really, please let me know if you have any questions, and I will see you all soon! ;)

Are you getting scared yet?

Happy Ghouls Month!

We are well into October and I have to apologize for not being diligent at some of the offers that Stampin' Up! had going on!  Visiting Atlanta, GA and coming back and getting back in the swing of things has proven to be a challenge.  BUT, I am going strong with the mojo getting me places!

First, we have the Designer Series Paper sale!  This sale is "Buy Three, Get one FREE!  during the month of October.  The best part is that it includes Designer Series Paper from BOTH the Holiday and Annual Catalog.  Even the Specialty and DSP Stacks are included this year.  So, be sure to take advantage of that great sale.  I want so many that I just don't yet know which ones I want to stock up on!  Here is a list of papers to choose from.
Next, Stampin' Up! is having a Paper Pumpkin Holiday Kit offering.  The October and November kits coordinate with each other but they also will stand on their own.  The promotion is aptly called Season of Style Promotion!  There will be card making, gift making and more!  If you would like to join Paper Pumpkin this is a great time to do it!   If you want the October Kit, you will need to subscribe by October 10th 11:50 Mountain Time.  If you want only the November Kit, subscribe by November 10th.  I encourage you though to go for a 3 month subscription and apply by October 10th and you will get both of these Holiday Kits plus the December kit.  Then you can decide if you would like to get other kits beyond those.  The kits run 19.95 per month, shipping included ($59.85 for the three month plan), but you get absolutely everything you need from mini stamp pad, cards, embellishments, directions, fun!  There are many demonstrators who have ideas for "alternate" uses for the kits also!  These ideas are always amazing to me.

Next, a promotion that ends this month on the 31st...If you host a get together and get $300.00 in sales before shipping and handling, you will be eligible for a FREE stamp set called Merry Patterns.  Now this stamp set will NOT be available to anyone after October 31st.  If you are a demonstrator, customer or attend a workshop or place an online order, all of these situations count towards the event and the host will earn this fabulous stamp set.  Also, the great news is that the Stamp Set is in ADDITION to the Stampin' Rewards you earn.  So, if you would like to earn this Stamp Set, let me know and I will help you set up a Workshop and present samples from this stamp set.  Here is the flyer and a picture of the stamp set.

Here are a couple samples I made..I am starting to really like this stamp set.  I only wish there were framelits to match the buck (or is it a reindeer?).  He was awfully hard to fussy cut!
Buck     Candles

The gold shiny card stock is so hard to photograph..kept seeing myself reflected in it!  Aarrgghh!

So, remember, if you want to get this stamp set Host a party and it is yours!!!!  Just have it by October 31st..don't worry, I can help you out!

Well, that is all for today.  Be kind to one another and always make time for some Creating With Paper!

What is going on? Where did September go?

Autumn Greetings!

I am sure that many of you will get really tired of me wondering where my time goes.  I plan to blog more often, and then life just gets in the way.  But I am not complaining, because my life is pretty darn great!!!

So, there is a great promo going on at Stampin' Up! this month and next.  The stamp set is called Merry Patterns.  I apologize for not letting you all know about this sooner, but...Here is a picture of the stamp set and a few samples from Stampin' Up!

The promotion goes until October 31st.  All you need to do to receive it, is host a get together and get $300.00 in sales before shipping and handling.  If you are a demonstrator, customer or attend a workshop, or place an online order, these all count towards the event and the host will earn this beautiful stamp set.  Plus, the Stamp Set is in addition to Stampin' Rewards you earn.  Let me know if you would like to host an event and I can help you set things up and present some samples from the stamp set.  I just received mine and haven't had a chance to use it yet, but I will post samples soon!!!!

Now for some pictures of some of the projects I have been doing lately.

Be kind to one another and remember to always make time for Creating With Paper.  I will see you all in October!  YIKES!!!

Well August is gone and here we come September!!!

I have to apologize for totally missing the month of August!  Where the heck did it go?  It is becoming way too true when they say "time flies when you are having fun!"  Got a visit in with the Grandbabes and witnessed the 60% eclipse out in our local desert Borrego Springs.  Yes, it was hot out there, but we watched as we drank Bloody Mary's and sat in the pool.  Great time!

Let's get business out of the way.  What is tomorrow????  SEPTEMBER 1st!  What happens tomorrow????  The Holiday Catalog goes LIVE!  Yippee!!  Now all of you can order whatever you want until January 1st.  If you didn't get one from me, let me know and I will gladly send one out to you!  You can still see it online, but it is much nicer to touch and feel and mark up with post-its, stars, etc.  Mine is almost destroyed already!!!  Let me know if you have any questions and I will be happy to answer them.

Wanted to just post a few things I have been working on and I am going to post a few of the cards that my partner in this paper crafting obsession, Cathy Gillick, has done.  Cathy has been an inspiration to me since 2013, and continues to amaze me daily with her creativity.  It is absolutely non-stop!!!

First, my favorite Crafty Ladies!  I have to say that my Holiday Card Buffet was a success and thank goodness as it was my first one!  I received many, many compliments and they loved that they could get down to it and finish the cards. I am the one that isn't holding any of them in the gray, but Linda in the dark blue forgot to hold hers up!  She made an Autumn and two Christmas cards.

Aug 27 craft day a

Here are the sample cards they took their ideas from.
Our next Craft Sunday, is September 10th - oh my it is close - better get busy!!!

Here are the few that I have created...

I love the new Cat Punch!  Can you tell???

As I said before, I wanted to share the cards that my downline Cathy made.  She used some non-stamping up items (but I did too on the step card), but only has been with me for a little over a year.  I have taken the liberty of putting my watermark on them as she does not have one made up yet.  I want to work with her on getting one.  Want to give her credit where credit is due!

Cathy clothesline Cathy gate card 1
Cathy beach xmas
Don't you just love the beachy Christmas?  That is the cutest set!  Thanks Cathy for all of your hard work helping all of us out using your amazing creativity!

Well, that is all for me today, so I can get this published and out to you all.  Have a safe and fun Labor Day Weekend.  Prayers are sent to any of our fellow demonstrators and all involved in the horrendous storms in Texas and Louisiana.  Please know you are in our hearts and we care.

Be kind to one another and always try to find time to Create With Paper!

Everything is coming up? Roses, Gardenia?

As promised, Summer Blooms continues...today, I had fun with some watercoloring - I just need to remember to use water color paper next time, although it worked out fine on just cardstock.  I did a Catalog Case.  I was looking up this particular stamp set to see if there were framelits to go with it and saw a cute idea in the Catalog for using the stamp.  Unfortunately I was doomed to fussy cutting the image out...I think for all (or most) of the stamps, there should be framelits to coordinate.  Well, I will dream...

Here is my "CASE"
Rose 2
Supplies I used:

Big Shot
Heat Tool

In the marker packs, I used Flirty Flamingo, Peekaboo Peach, Old Olive, Pear Pizzazz and Daffodil Delight to color in the rose.  Now that I look at the flower more, it may not be a rose, maybe a gardenia?  If you know the correct name for the flower, please let me know so I can learn my flowers :)

On the inside, I used the single "rose" flower and embossed and water colored it too to match the front of the card.  My sentiment is the "Make A Wish" from Happy Birthday Gorgeous.

All in all, it was a fun card to make - thanks Stampin' Up! for the inspiration.  I have read many a post that do "Case the Catalog" days, and I finally did it.  Yay!

So, we are getting closer to the end of July - AARRGGHH!  Just wanted to remind everyone of the Christmas in July promotion!  If you become a demonstator by July 31st, you will receive a FREE Essentials Gift Pack including Paper Snips, SNAIL Adhesive, Grid Paper, two D Blocks (one for them and one for a stamping friend!), and a Bone Folder.
